We live in an age where we are responsible for our own career. This requires us to be responsible for our education. But managing our own education can be a problem. What are we: professional educators or project managers?

Do not make a final decision on technical area education plans until you finish researching the strategic and business area. Much of the time, you can be in the dark about what you need for the technical side because you haven’t done adequate research in the strategic and business area. Such research helps you avoid mistakes (like taking classes for applications or tools that will be phased out, or for organizational methodologies that will become obsolete).
