Abstract
In the world of project management, projects rarely go completely smoothly. While risks can be managed and planned for, sometimes good projects fail or stagnate. Sometimes you need to introduce the risk of change to a project to reorganize and revitalize it for success. Utilizing change management techniques within the project management system lessens the risk inherent in introducing change to a project and improves your chances of success. This article will focus on the 10 steps that should be taken to successfully reboot a project and decrease the risk of project failure.

Introduction
If you’ve been a project manager for any length of time, chances are good that you have inherited a project that stalled out, is stagnant, or perhaps is functioning fine but in hindsight was not set up in a way that could ensure optimal performance and deliverables.
