Sen. Bob Casey Visits PMI Global Headquarters
On Friday, 6 April, U.S. Senator Bob Casey visited PMI Global Headquarters in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania to see firsthand the impact of the project management profession across the United States and around the world.
Throughout his tenure in the U.S. Senate, Senator Casey has advocated for the importance of project, program and portfolio management to improve the federal government’s ability to effectively manage its projects and programs. This includes co-sponsoring the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act and supporting PMI’s successful effort to get the U.S. Department of Labor to add project management specialists to its Standard Occupation Classification system. In 2017, PMI recognized Sen. Casey as one of its first “Congressional Champions” for his longstanding support of PMI’s federal policy priorities.
“PMI appreciates the efforts of Senator Casey to maximize efficiency within the U.S. federal government, which generates more successful project and program outcomes and increases the value that Americans receive for their tax dollars,” said PMI President and Chief Executive Officer Mark A. Langley. “We were pleased to welcome the senator to our global headquarters, and we look forward to working with him on behalf of our members in Pennsylvania and across the country going forward.”
